WHO?
Me. I'm Ed. A web developer from Cleveland. I've been married to my lovely wife Jean since 2000. We have a son - Zach - who was born in 2002 and a daughter - Ava - who was born in 2005.
WHAT?
This site started out as just a place for me to play around and try out new technologies and web stuff, and to post pics of my son. But it ended up being just more of a weblog for me to talk about my various interests, vent a little and communicate with all 3 of my fans. Back in 2005 I decided to launch a blog solely devoted to my favorite band Rush. It slowly grew in popularity and by early 2007 really took off. It took up a lot of my time so I decided to put this site on hold for a little while. A little while turned into almost a year. But in 2008 I finally re-launched the site.
WHERE?
Cleveland, OH - like I said already.
WHY?
Why not? I've been a web developer since 1996 so I thought it was about time I created a site of my own. Having a son was a good excuse to get started - 'cuz I needed somewhere to post pics of the little guy. Now I just do it for fun and to put forward my plans for world domination. muhahahahaha!!!
WHEN?
The site first launched back in April of 2002, just before my son was born.
HOW?
The site lives on a Sun Solaris server. It runs under an Apache web server using php and mysql. I've written my own web-based content administration system and also all the code for the dynamic content on the site.
